Bruce Tessmer, 73, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of January 16, amidst his dear family. He lived with and dealt with cancer for his last six years.

Many thanks for the wonderful care Bruce received in the ER and during stays at the Richland Hospital. He received excellent treatment and care from Dr. Joshua Lang, his colleagues, and his stellar staff at the Carbone Cancer Center, UW Hospital and Clinics, Madison, and also from the Agrace Hospice team. His children, Eric, Jessica, Chris, and Melanie, put their lives on hold, helping Mary Lou and lovingly caring for Bruce the past few months so his quality of life could be maintained. A “Thanks for the Memories” get together is planned at The Old Oak Inn in Soldiers Grove on Wednesday, February 5, from 4 to 6. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Branding Iron Roadhouse in Lime Ridge on Sunday, February 16, beginning at 1 p.m. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. prattfuneralservice.com
