Carl J. “Buck” Shepherd was born on July 8, 1934, in Benton, the son of Orville A. and Alice H. (Lorenz) Shepherd.

Services were held at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16. Pastor Dan Verdegan officiated. Internment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg.

A Carl J. “Buck” Shepherd Memorial Fund has been established.
