Doris Zwickey

Former long-time Platteville resident, Doris Zwickey, passed away on Oct. 26 in Oshkosh.
While residing in Platteville, Doris was a second-grade teacher at O.E. Gray and a reading consultant for the Platteville School District. Doris and her family moved from Platteville to Oakville, Ontario, Canada, where she taught in the Mississauga and Oakville school districts. Upon moving back to Wisconsin, Doris was a substitute teacher for a while in the Neenah School District and became an adjunct professor of reading in the Education Department at UW–Oshkosh, after which she retired.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; two daughters, Carol (Merl) Austin and Lisa Zwickey; son, James (Carol); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol Clochesy, Oshkosh.
