Douglas Robert Schneider, born November 18, 1955, in Clinton, Iowa, passed away on January 26, 2024, in Rockland, Maine at the age of 68. He grew up on the family farm first in Illinois and later Wisconsin. After high school, Doug attended the University of Illinois Carbondale on a math scholarship, where he also discovered a love for the sport of rugby.

Memorial Services and Celebrations of Doug’s life are being planned for the spring in Connecticut.  A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on May 4th, 2024 from 2-4pm at the Lyons Train Depot located at 56 25th Avenue North, Clinton, Iowa.
