Edward D. “Ed” Gile, 67, of Monona, died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, from complications due to elective heart surgery.

He was born on June 11, 1947, in Elkhorn, the son of Lyle and Rose (Young) Gile.  He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Kathy Stotko on June 5, 1971 at St. Francis De Sales Church in Lake Geneva. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, with Father John Silva presiding.

Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care, Monona, assisted the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, or a charity of your choice.
