Gene R. “Jake” Lomas, 86, of rural Gays Mills passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers, James, Harold, Frank, Earl and a sister, Peggy.

Services were held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel. Paula Cook officiated. Burial was in the Union Hill Cemetery at Mt. Zion. Friends called on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel.
