James Valentine Jung, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Crescent City, FL.

He was born Feb. 14, 1943, the son of Robert and Virginia Jung.

Jim attended the Hillsboro School system and went on to serve in the Navy, where he retired.  Jim served duty during the Vietnam War.   After retiring from the Navy, he went on to the Merchant Marines and later started  his own business, Eagle Freight. Jim enjoyed returning to Hillsboro to see his friends who he grew up with after his parents passed away.

He is survived by his daughter, Valentine Rick; his brother, Robert (Terry) Jung, Prairie Du Chien, WI;  sister, Ruth Ann Hull (Floyd) of Lake Nebagemon, WI;  sister, Betty Thompson, Neenah, WI; and Fritz Jung, Madison, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Jung; sister, Mary Maki, daughter, Caroline; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jim will be buried in the Hillsboro cemetery.
