On May 8, Jim T. Butson, 88, of rural Platteville, set out on his last big adventure, when he decided it was time to let God lead him on what promises to be his best adventure yet.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 14 at the Free Methodist Church in Platteville. Rev. Jeff Suits officiated. Burial was at Whig Cemetery in rural Platteville. Visitation was from 4–6 p.m. on Sunday, May 13 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.
