Joseph “LeRoy” McCauley, age 87, of rural Shullsburg, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. He was born April 16, 1927 in Shullsburg the son of Frank and Mary (O’Leary) McCauley. \

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 344 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial was in St. Matthew Cemetery in rural Shullsburg. A visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at O’Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home, 235 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg with a rosary service at 2:00 p.m. and a visitation was also held Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.
