Judith “Judy” A. Rowley, 68 of Apple River, Ill., passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 13, 1948 to James and May (Fowler) Bennett in Cuba City. She married Carl “Butch” Rowley on Sept. 23, 1972 in Shullsburg. Judy enjoyed watching game shows, playing solitaire, and helping the Apple River Fire Department with all their events. She also loved to go out to eat on Saturday nights with Butch, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Butch, children; Laurie Rowley of Apple River, Ill., Tom (Tawny) Rowley of Warren, Ill., Amy (Josh) Harris of Poplar Grove, Ill.; four grandchildren; Autumn Stiefel of Apple River, Ill., McKenzie Rowley of Warren, Ill., Gavin and Jameson Harris of Poplar Grove, Ill.; sister’s Phyliss Lange of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sandy (Dennis) Foley of Kenosha; sisters-in-laws; Carol (Terry) Hoeper of Benton, Carol Bennett and Lillian Rowley both of Shullsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Ronnie and infant sister Shirley, one brother Jerry Bennett; father-in-law and mother- in-law Laurentine and Lillian Rowley, five brothers-in-law Robert Lange, Arlo, Robert, Donald and Howard Rowley; one niece Shelley Rowley.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 12:00 noon till 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home. Cremation rites to be accorded. Sean Huguenin will officiate the services.
A memorial has been established in her name.
