Lillian Elaine Waddell passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving immediate family.

Lillian was born Jan. 2, 1928, the daughter of Vern and Vivian Heckart. She married Gordon Waddell on June 9, 1946, and they had one son, Brent, on Nov. 24, 1948. They lived their entire lives as part of the LaFarge community.

Lillian worked and lived as a well-known business woman in La Farge her entire life. She was the saleswoman for Sanford Clothing Store and also worked many years for Lounsbury Drug Store and later Dahl Pharmacy until retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse and a brother, Glen Heckart of London Mills, Illinois.

She is survived by: Her sister, Patricia Hanson of La Crosse, WI;  her son, Brent and wife Janis (Thelen) Waddell; two grandchildren, Derek Waddell and wife Mindy (Berendes) Waddell; Erin (Waddell) Jirschele and her husband, Michael Jirschele of Hillsboro, WI; five wonderful great grandsons: Owen Waddell, Braun Jirschele, Nolan Waddell, Roman Waddell, and Jameson Jirschele.

A mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Father Donald Bauer officiated, and burial was in the Bear Creek Cemetery near LaFarge. Visitation was  held at the Seland Huston Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and at the church on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until mass time at 11 a.m. The family suggests memorials in Lillian’s name be directed to St. Aloysius Catholic Church or to a charity of choice.
