Mildred E. “Millie” Faith, 92, of Platteville, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Westview Methodist Church, Platteville.  Pastor Paul Glendenning will officiate.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at Westview Methodist Church or from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.  The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family.  Memorials may be made to the Mildred E. “Millie” Faith Memorial Fund.  Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.
Millie was born on August 2, 1923 in Darlington, the daughter of Charles W. and Mary (Benson) Lancaster.  She was united in marriage to Nathan Seemeyer and they had three children, Nancy, Larry, and Melody.  Nathan preceded Millie in death.  She later married Donovan Faith, who also preceded her in death.  Millie worked for Burgess Battery and Eastman Cartwright for many years.  During her whole working life Millie owned and ran Mound View Shows, which she was well known for.  She enjoyed crafts and woodworking.  Millie also volunteered at the Platteville Thrift Store, where she was also a board member.  But above all else, family was most important to her.  She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Fidler of Platteville; Melody (Tim Koeller) Seemeyer of Platteville; grandchildren, Ryan Koeller, Vienna (Thomas) Wackershauser, Karla Fidler, Cheryl (James) Jamieson, and Stacie Fidler; sisters, Eva McCormick of Soldiers Grove; Kay (Keith) Nichols of Darlington; and one brother, Gary (Waunita) Lancaster of Darlington, stepchildren, Barbara Ewanowski, Robert (Nancy) Faith, Donna Faith, Ronald (Chris) Faith, and Terry (Beth) Faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Nathan and Donovan; son, Larry Seemeyer; grandson, Tim Fidler; son-in-law, Larry Fidler; brothers, Homer, Harlan, Thomas “Dick”, and Russell Lancaster; sisters, Grace Schwartz, Shelby Rielly, and Shirley Hendrickson, step-son, David Faith.
