Mrs. Gilbert B. (Irene A. Heim) Tranel, 93, of East Dubuque, formerly of Menominee, went peacefully to her heavenly home at 10:20 a.m. Monday, July 25 at Luther Manor in Dubuque. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 30 at Nativity B.V.M Church in Menominee. Rev. Steven A. Lundgren and Deacon Larry Tranel officiated.  Burial was at the church cemetery. Visitation was from 3–8 p.m. Friday and from 8:45–9:45 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, 1185 Route 35 North, East Dubuque. The parish and Nativity B.V.M Saint Ann Society recited the rosary at 2:45 p.m. Friday. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.millerfhed.com.
