Mya Eebee Gleason
2014 - 2017
Mya Gleason

Mya E. “Eebee” Gleason, age 2, of Shullsburg, was granted her angel wings on Oct. 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at home after a courageous battle with PCH.
Mya was born on Oct. 31, 2014, in Madison, the daughter of Jeffrey Gleason and Niccole Millin.
Although Mya’s illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges.  With her courage she taught us that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.  She loved to spend time snuggling with her Mommy and Daddy and enjoyed her big sister reading to her and her baby sister’s chatter.
Mya leaves behind a wonderful care team from UW Madison Hospitals and Upland Hills Hospice who provided incredible love and support that enhanced her quality of life.
She is survived by her parents, Jeffrey Gleason and Niccole Millin of Shullsburg; two sisters, McKenna and Macy Gleason, at home; her maternal grandparents, Tony and Shannon Brown of Shullsburg, Gerry and Annette (Sheriff) Greenfield of Clovis, Calif., and William and Rebecca (Brunning) Hinrichs of Prairie du Chien; her paternal grandparents, Dave and Mary Ellen Gleason of Shullsburg; her maternal great-grandparents, Rod and Nadine Millin of Shullsburg, Betty Greenfield of Belvidere, S. C., and Rob Tischhauser of Caledonia, Minn.; her paternal great-grandparents, Joseph Gleason of Shullsburg, and Troy and Joann Sandlin of Benton; her great-great-grandmother, Carol Kirchner of Cuba City; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Calvin Greenfield Jr., and great-grandmother Marietta Gleason.
A Celebration of Life was 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg where Pastor Stanton Bockwoldt officiated.  Friends called from 9:00 - 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church before the service.  The family invited those who attended to wear bright happy colors, which Mya so enjoyed. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements.
A Mya E Gleason Memorial Fund has been established.
