Professor Emeritus Norman R. Powers, 85, Platteville, passed away at home on Monday, June 12 surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Platteville. Visitation was from 4–7 p.m. on Friday, June 16 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. There was a rosary at 3:45 p.m. Visitation continued from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Norman Powers Engineering Scholarship Fund or to the Platteville Special Olympics. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.
