Richard J. Byrnes, 82, Platteville, died on Good Friday, April 3 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Platteville. Rev. Faustino Ruiz and Deacon Bill Bussan will concelebrate.  Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation was from 4–7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. There was a scripture wake service at 7 p.m. with a time of sharing stories of Richard’s life and music.
