Richard (Rick) A. Hale, age 58, of Long Grove, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, N.C. Rick was born on September 4, 1954 in Savanna, Illinois. He was the son of Jerry and Ruby (Marburger) Michaelsen. A visitation was held May 26, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula, Iowa. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 10:30 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Sabula, Iowa with Reverend Robert Krueger officiating. Burial took place in the Sterling Cemetery, Sabula, Iowa. Full obituary in the May 30, 2013 issue of the Republican Journal.
