Ronald Jon Smith passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023 at his home in Platteville, surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Ron on Saturday, Oct. 21. Memorials may be made to University of Wisconsin Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is assisting the family. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
