Ronald “Ron” Merritt Kuhnke, 74, of Baraboo, WI passed away March 24, 2024, with his family by his side at home. Ron, the son of Merritt and Beverly Jean (Hulbert) Kuhnke was born March 5, 1950. He was a graduate of DeSoto High School through a program with the United States Army. Ron served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.

On June 4, 1977, he married Diane Halverson of Soldiers Grove. To this marriage two children were born, Brian and Brice Kuhnke. They later divorced.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Ron will be laid to rest at the Walnut Mound Cemetery with full military honors following a small gathering after the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
