William “Bill” Sanford Matthews, 79, of Montfort, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, in Dubuque, Iowa.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort, with Father James Murphy officiating. Immediately following the service, the family invited everyone for food and fellowship in the church hall. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort.
