MUSCODA - On Friday night the Riverdale wrestling team welcomed third ranked Fennimore to the high school for senior night. In front of a nice crowd the Chieftains put together a strong effort but were defeated 41-23.

Brian Bieri started the match at 145 pounds and fought hard but lost by pin to Fennimore’s top ranked wrestler. Tyler Hach controlled his entire match scoring a 16-5 major decision to get the Chieftains on the board. Colt Pechan wrestled a tough match but was unable to score losing 4-0. A forfeit to Bradon Roen at 170 pounds put the Chieftains in front 10-9. Kenny Elliott came back from a 5-1 deficit to pull within 6-4 but time ran out before he could get the tying takedown. Caleb Johnson received a forfeit at 195 pounds and Garret Wilmot lost a close 6-4 decision at heavyweight and Fennimore took a 21-16 lead...
