PLATTEVILLE – Repeating as the Southwest Wisconsin Conference girls’ cross country champions, the Lancaster Flying Arrows finished 11 points ahead of second-place Platteville at last Thursday’s SWC Championship on the Hillmen’s home course. The Lancaster ladies finished Thursday’s conference meet with 45 points, and had their top six runners all finish among the top 17 overall runners.

After finishing second to teammate Lydia Murphy at last year’s conference meet, Lancaster sophomore Bridee Burks took top honors this season with a time of 19:26. Burks finished five seconds ahead of Platteville senior Brittani Meis in second place, and eight seconds ahead of River Valley sophomore Madison Krey in third.
