Belmont freshman Lizzy Haag had a season-high score of 8.3 to place third on the bars.

The Hillmen return to action Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. at the WIAA Division 2 Mount Horeb Sectional. The top two teams and top five individuals in each event advance to next week’s WIAA state meet in Wisconsin Rapids. The Platteville/Belmont/Lancaster tri-op has qualified for the WIAA team state meet for the past seven years.

“The sectional meet should be very interesting,” said Hillmen head coach Jessica Hill. “Mount Horeb, if they perform at the level they have been will take first. PBL, Southwestern/Cuba City/Benton, Milton, Jefferson and Monona Grove all received scores in the same range. The team to go on will be the team that hits their routines on Thursday night in Mount Horeb.”
