Lawrence and Kathryn (Nuernberg) Roe of Madison, will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 12, 2011. They were united in marriage on Sunday, Oct. 12, 1941 at Peace Lutheran Church. During the period of Oct. 8-12 members of the family will celebrate this special event. Family members are Gerald J. (Sally) Roe of Bethlehem, Pa., Sharon Roe (Roger) Anderson of Eagan, Minn., and Michael Roe of Allentown, Pa.; plus five grandchildren. During the past 70 years the Roes have lived in 12 states and also traveled the world. They retired in Madison in 1986 and prefer living in Wisconsin to anywhere else in the world.
