Alicia Douglas and Miguel Jimenez of Darlington are the parents of the third baby of the year born at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. Douglas’ and Jimenez’s son, Ishar Micheal Jimenez was born Feb. 7, 2014. He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. Ishar joins a sibling, Alyssa Garcia-Castillo, 3.
    As the third baby of the year, Ishar and his family will receive $10 in cash from the Republican Journal.
