A son, Alexander Jack Melby, was born at 4:16 a.m. on March 14, 2016 at the Richland Hospital to Kevin and Laura Melby. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 inches long.  He joins a brother, Drew, 6, and a sister, Addison, 3. Grandparents are Mildred and the late Grant Melby of Richland Center, Kay and the late Dwight Lane of Barnesville, Minn. The father serves as a deputy and the mother is a banker.
