A large crowd turned out to attend the auction at Ed’s Family Foods on Monday, January 11. Many items, both large and small, were purchased and taken away. 

The recent closure of the downtown grocery store brought to an end a longtime business, ran by the Fink family. They have said that they reluctantly decided to cease running the business after a gradual slump in sales. 

Plans are for the Kwik Trip Corporation to purchase the Ed’s property as well as the adjoining former Richland Veterinary Clinic, in order to construct a new and larger gas station/convenience store there.
