    Several new teachers have been hired for the 2014-2015 school year at Belmont School District, including: Mitchell Austin—5th grade, Eden Gaulke—2nd grade, Bridget Tippett—Jr. High Reading, Tom Langenfeld—high school business/computers and Bailey Tysver—Jr. High student teacher.
    Mitchell Austin, Belmont Elementary’s new 5th grade teacher, is originally from Belmont and graduated from UW-Platteville in May of 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He enjoys playing basketball, running in races and working with his parents on their beef farm.
    Eden Gaulke, the new 2nd grade teacher at Belmont Elementary School graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education and elementary education. Gaulke enjoys spending time with her family and friends and spending time outdoors.
    Bridget Tippett is the new middle school Reading teacher and Reading Specialist for Belmont Schools. She graduated from Loras College with a degree in elementary education. She then furthered her education by attending UW-Platteville where she received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Tippet also received her Reading Specialist license through Viterbo College. Tippet, her husband (Dan) and their two children, Jack, 3, and Tatum, 15 months, reside in Belmont. Tippet enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, walking, and baking. She is very excited to start her new job at Belmont Schools.
    Tom Langenfeld, the new high school business and computers teacher is originally from Kiel, and went to UW-Whitewater for a license to teach business, technology, and vocational courses, after which he taught for two years in Marion and Benton. Langenfeld was recently married over the summer and enjoys disc golf, cooking, riding motorcycles, watching and playing all sports, and playing games.
    Bailey Tysver, from Rockford Ill., is currently a 5th year student at UW-Platteville majoring in middle level education with concentrations in science and social studies. She will be graduating in December of 2014 and will be getting married in May of 2015. Tysver said she is honored to be student teaching with Mr. Crase and Mr. Michalkiewicz this fall, and is really looking forward to her time at Belmont.
