Platteville Public Schools will get the word out to school district residents about the $15 million building referendum in several different ways.

The Platteville Rotary Club will hear about the project March 3, with additional times with area service clubs to be scheduled. The Platteville Regional Chamber’s Good Morning Platteville will focus on the project March 26 at 7:30 a.m.

Information on the referendum will also be distributed at school district events between now and the April 7 referendum.
The school district’s website, www.platteville.k12.wi.us, will include information on the referendum, including video. Information sessions and tours of the school district’s four buildings will be scheduled as well.

The project includes $9.7 million of work to move first and fourth grades to Westview Elementary School, $2 million in security upgrades on the four schools’ entrances, $2.5 million in STEM facility renovations at Platteville High School and Platteville Middle School, and $300,000 to expand the size of the kindergarten rooms at Neal Wilkins Early Learning Center.
