Volunteer at UWP on Labor Day

QueenB Radio has teamed up with Operation Troop Aid to send 500 care packages to those serving overseas in the U.S. military.

The packages will be assembled at UW–Platteville Labor Day afternoon. Members of the campus and community who want to help are encouraged to stop by. The items will be set up on campus on the West Lawn between Williams Fieldhouse and the Pioneer Student Center, and volunteers can move down a line piecing together their care package.

The process only takes a few minutes to create a single package, and volunteers can keep going through the line to help QueenB Radio and Operation Troop Aid reach their goal.

The Operation Troop Aid volunteer activity is part of the activities UW–Platteville has planned on campus during the welcome back weekend. When the care packages are all done, they will be shipped directly to Afghanistan.
