Country music star Dustin Lynch will be performing at UW–Platteville’s first spring concert in Ullsvik Hall on Wednesday, April 1.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. The opener will perform at 8 p.m. and Lynch will perform at 9:15 p.m. Students and the community can buy tickets at the University Box Office located in Ullsvik Hall or online at www.uwplatt.edu/cpr/dustin-lynch. Tickets for students will cost $11 until Jan. 1, after which they will cost $16.
Tickets for the community will be available Sunday, Dec. 14 and will cost $16 until Jan. 1, after which they will be $21.
Lynch was nominated for Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year in 2012 at the American Country Awards, the Breakthrough Video of the Year in 2013 at the CMT Music Awards and the Top New Artist of the Year in 2014 at the Academy of Country Music Awards. His singles, “Cowboys and Angels” has gone platinum and “Where It’s At (Yep, Yep)” has gone gold in the U.S.
Campus Programming and Relations Event Producer Alexa Sieling said the goal of this concert is to give UW–Platteville students another opportunity to see a large concert on campus aside from the concert that is held during Welcome Weekend in the fall. Beginning this spring, CPR will be hosting spring concerts every three years.
