Ferryville Breakfast scheduled Feb. 9

A delicious breakfast will be served at the Ferryville Village Hall on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 8 to 11 a.m.

Sponsored by the Ferryville Vision and Promotion Board, the breakfast features Virginia’s homemade biscuits with sausage gravy along with pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs. Coffee, milk and juice complete the menu. Carry-outs will be available.

Raffle tickets for this year’s quilt, themed “Turtles Gone Wild,” along with a bowl from Kay’s Potiques, Nellie, an American Girl retired doll and a $100 Cabela’s Gift card will be available at the breakfast.

The Ferryville Vision & Promotion Board supports projects to enhance the village. The group’s current project is to replace all the banners gracing the village. This past winter, everyone enjoyed the snowflakes all through the village during the holiday season. Last year’s breakfast contributed to that project.

Market in the Park, celebrating their twelfth year, will open on May 18 in Sugar Creek Park. Vendors are always welcome. It is sponsored by FV&PB, which also assists with kid’s games and fireworks at River Bluff Daze, scheduled for July 27.

Other projects of FV&PB include assisting with Bald Eagle Day, Saturday, March 2, Adopt-A-Highway cleanup days and planting and maintaining the flower barrels along Main Street and in Sugar Creek Park.

Enjoy the view from River View Park in downtown Ferryville. This is also a reminder that there is a bookcase in Cheapo Depot for a book exchange—take-a-book-and-bring-a-book, whenever the store is open.
