Release your inner child and groove at the Gays Mills Public Library hula-hooping workshop for adults on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 7 pm in the Gays Mills Community Room at 16381 State Highway 131. If you are someone in your 50s or 60s you remember the hula-hooping craze of that era. Maybe you wondered what happened when you grew up and you just couldn’t do the moves anymore. Guess what. It’s not you. It’s all in the size of the hoop.

Hooping, as it is now called, has experienced a resurgence in recent years. This great, low impact activity exercises your core muscles, improves coordination and balance, and provides aerobic benefits. Hooping instructor Laurie Millane will bring some hoops and get us hooping all over again.

This workshop is free to the public. Laurie will have hoops on hand for purchase if participants are interested in pursuing this fun activity. If you have questions or would like to register for this workshop, call 735-4331 or email motis@swls.org the library.
