Its fish fry season

The season of Lent features church fish fries.

St. Augustine University Parish, 135 S. Hickory St., Platteville, has fish fries scheduled for Friday, March 6 and 27 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes deep fried and baked fish, French fries, salad and rolls, beverage and dessert.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens and UW–Platteville and high school students, and $5 for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Carryouts will be available.

•    Holy Ghost–Immaculate Conception School is hosting a fish fry at the Kieler school, 3685 County HHH, Friday, March 6 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The meal includes all-you-can-eat baked or fried fish, baked potato, American fries, coleslaw, roll, relishes, dessert, and beverage.

The cost is $10 per adult, $5 for ages 6–12, and $3 for ages 2–5. Carryouts are $11 each and available by calling 568-7220 during the fish fry.

Refreshments and pull tabs will be available in the school gym throughout the evening. All proceeds will benefit HG–IC School.
