The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department had no reported accidents during the recent snow event on Wednesday, Dec. 19 and Thursday, Dec. 20.

“In my 20-plus years here at the sheriff’s department, I don’t ever remember not having an accident during a storm this big,” said Sheriff Dale McCullick. “This is directly related to people staying home and employers not making people come into work if possible, and I want to thank all of them.

“On behalf of the Crawford County Sheriff Department, I want to thank all the men and women who worked the long hours keeping the roads open for those of us who did need to be out during this storm,” McCullick said. “County, city, village and township workers don’t get enough credit for what they do.”
