District Attorney Findley announces candidacy for Circuit Court Judge

Kate Findley, Lafayette County District Attorney, recently announced her candidacy for the position of Lafayette County Circuit Court Judge.

Lafayette County District Attorney, Kate Findley has begun collecting nomination paper signatures, since announcing her candidacy for Lafayette County Circuit Court Judge following the retirement of Judge William Johnston.

Findley, the daughter of a Lutheran minister, was born in Whitewater. She and her husband live in Darlington. Before becoming District Attorney, Findley was the Attorney Manager for the State Public Defender’s Office serving Green and Lafayette Counties.

Findley’s legal experience includes working as a Public Defender, serving 10 years as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School; and now serving as the District Attorney of Lafayette County.

Findley is a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Darlington, where she enjoys playing organ for weekly services. She enjoys knitting at the Argyle Fiber Mill and has proudly won blue ribbons in knitting at the Lafayette County Fair. She and her husband are also members of the Darlington Country Club.

As District Attorney, Findley is proud of the level of cooperation developed with law enforcement officers throughout the county during recent high exposure cases. Findley looks forward to serving the citizens of Lafayette County.
