Students intern for legislators
Rep  Tranel and Grace Stewart Intern 6-18-13 eupdate

Grace Stewart of Parker High School in Janesville joined the office of Rep. Travis Tranel (R–Cuba City) this summer for the six-week Cullen Internship Program. Stewart was awarded a spot in the competitive program sponsored by Senator Tim Cullen and his wife. Samantha Harrington of Craig High School in Janesville interned in the office of Sen. Dale Schultz (R–Richland Center). Through the internship, Stewart had the opportunity to learn about various aspects of state government. She and the other interns interviewed inmates at the Oakhill Correctional Facility, Tamara Dodge from the Legislative Reference Bureau, the CEO of Shine Medical Technologies and several lobbyists. “It is always great having young people participate in state government,” said Tranel. “Grace was a fantastic addition to our office team this summer. She worked extremely hard and has been a big help.”
