Work on new water tower underway
In Muscoda
Welding Muscoda's water tower
Workers have been hard at work on the water tower project in Muscoda, taking advantage of recent warm February temperatures.

MUSCODA - With the help of a few workers, it almost seemed as though the new Muscoda water tower and tank were sprouting from the snow piles last week. Some site work, east of the Muscoda Public Library, was completed last year while the tank and tower were built in North Carolina.

Muscoda Village Superintendent, Troy Wardell, said the new unit will resemble the one standing in the Industrial Park, painted white with Riverdale maroon lettering. The new tower will change the Muscoda skyline as seen from the north as the St. John the Baptist church steeple will have company above the trees.    Wardell said the new tower and tank will not be completed until late summer or fall.
