Sophomore Jason Griffiths was Hillsboro’s lone representative on the 2016 All-Scenic Bluffs Conference wrestling team.

Griffiths went 26–11 at 113 pounds this year and earned a second straight sectional berth.

The sophomore also won his first individual conference title with a 4–2 overtime victory over  Tyler Finnell of North Crawford/Seneca in the 113-pound championship at the Scenic, Ridge and Rivers Conference Tournament on Feb. 6 at Cashton.

Griffiths went on to win the 113-pound title at the WIAA Division 3 Hillsboro Regional on Feb. 13. He went 1–2 a week later and did not place at sectionals.

Hillsboro freshman Jacob Brockwell earned a spot on the seven-wrestler All-Sportsmanship team. Brockwell went 3–16 this year at 138 pounds.
