Seneca loses to Wauzeka-Steuben

The Seneca baseball team lost to the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets 6-5 in Wauzeka on Tuesday, May 1.

Seneca’s Trenton Payne was the losing pitcher. He struck out eight and walked four in seven innings pitched.

It was a tough loss for the visiting Indians, who led 5-2 in the seventh inning. The Hornets rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to grab the win.

Derek Wall, who went 2-3 with a home run and two RBIs, led Seneca at the plate.

The Hornets were led at the plate by Teagan Cornell, who went 2-3 with a home run and three RBIs. John Huber also hit a home run.
