BH SB Ritschard pitch 21 color
BLACK HAWKS Rachel Ritschard fires a pitch to the plate during Mondays Six Rivers East clash with Pecatonica. Ritschard allowed just two hits in the game.

SOUTH WAYNE – Black Hawk busted out for 11 runs in the fourth inning to pull away from Pecatonica for a 14-2 Six Rivers East softball victory on Monday, April 18.
The Lady Warriors (3-1 overall, 2-1 SRC) scored three times in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead for good, but they were leading by just a run going into the home half of the fourth when they sent 16 batters to the plate to extend their lead to 14-2.
Seven of the 11 runs scored on errors and the Warriors had five hits during the rally. Lauren Schultz tripled and scored twice for the Warriors, while Hannah Herbst and Tatum Jackson each had a RBI-single and scored twice apiece. Brooke Moore also scored twice in the inning.
Herbst finished 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and a RBI. Moore added three runs and a RBI, and Jordyn Delzer went 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored for the Warriors.
Rachel Ritschard earned the victory in the circle, giving up two runs on two hits with two walks and seven strikeouts over five innings of work.
At Highland, on Saturday, April 16, the host Cardinals scored nine unanswered runs over the final four innings to sink Black Hawk, 9-1, in a Six Rivers crossover contest.
Hannah Herbst stole home in the top of the third inning to put the Warriors ahead 1-0, but the Cardinals answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the third to pull on top to stay.
The hosts added four runs in the fourth and three more in the sixth to put the game away.
“We hit the ball fairly well, but just seemed to be right at them,” said Black Hawk head coach Jim Baumgartner. “Highland had the better luck and seemed to get hits in the gap. Just the way it goes some days.”
Black Hawk has a busy week in store for them on the diamond. The Warriors have league games at home against Potosi on Thursday, April 21, at Argyle on Monday, April 26, and at home against Monticello on Tuesday, April 26. They also are scheduled to participate in the Parkview Tournament in Ordfordville on Saturday, April 23, starting at 9:30 a.m.
