SPRING GREEN – Southwestern/Cuba City/Benton sophomore Kayci Martensen is headed back to the WIAA Division 2 State Cross Country Meet with a state title on her mind after running away with the girls’ individual sectional title at the 2019 WIAA Division 2 Sectional Meet hosted by River Valley High School at the Spring Green Municipal Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Martensen conquered the 5,000-meter race in a time of 18:28.5 to capture a sectional title for the second straight year and earn an individual state berth for the Wildcats tri-op. She crossed the finish line over a minute ahead of runner-up, Brodhead/Juda junior Madelynn McIntyre.
