A Platteville woman who ran as a write-in candidate for the Common Council last year has decided to run again in the April 2 election.

Zan Shields, 65 Mitchell Ave., will be a write-in candidate for the at-large seat held by Ald. Steve Becker, who is opposed on the ballot by Michael Denn.

Denn and Becker finished first and second in the Feb. 19 primary election.

Shields ran for the at-large seat that was won by write-in candidate Dick Bonin in April 2012.
