As legislators continue to debate the Republican state budget, state Sen. Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) announced that district representative Taylor Goodine will hold several local office hours between May 28 and June 2. These office hours offer local residents an opportunity to meet with Shilling’s staff, share their thoughts on the state budget and request assistance with state agencies.

In this area, Goodine will hold office hours from 2-3 p.m, June 1 at the La Farge Village Hall, 105 West Main St.

“Families in western Wisconsin continue to have questions about the looming budget cuts and how they will impact our schools, roads, parks and health care services,” said Shilling. “I want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to weigh in on the choices that are being made and help find new ways to move our state forward.”

These budget listening sessions are open to the public and no RSVP is required. If individuals would like more information, they can contact Shilling’s office toll-free at 1-800-385-3385 or email Sen.Shilling@legis.wi.gov.
