Fire department receives two donations

Bard donation to Wauzeka Fire Department
BARD MATERIALS Area Manager, Aaron Peterson, presented a check to Wauzeka Fire Chief Nick Zeeh and Assistant Fire Chief Brady Krachey. The donation was in the amount of $1,490 through the ‘Engine One’ grant program they offer. Funds will be put toward upgrading turnout gear.

WAUZEKA - The Wauzeka Fire Department recently received two donations to support acquisition of needed equipment.

The first donation came from Bard Materials. The $1,490 donation came through the company’s ‘Engine One’ grant program, and will be used to upgrade the department’s turnout gear.

Hilcorp donation to wauzeka fire
JUSTINA and JOHN Lalande presented a check to Wauzeka Fire Chief Nick Zeeh in the amount of $9,200 from Alaskan company Hilcorp, through which John is employed.

The second donation can from Justina and John Lalande, and was made available by John’s employer, Hilcorp. A portion of the $9,200 donation will go to the fire department for equipment and personal protective equipment.

The Lalandes live in Boydtown, and decided to split their donation between a local fire department and the Crawford County Technical Rescue Team. The rescue team will use the funds to purchase additional equipment.
