Town of Platteville will have races in April election

All but one Town of Platteville elected position will be contested in the April 7 election.

The town caucus was held during the Town Board meeting Monday night.

Town chairman Dale Hood will be opposed by Tom Weigel.

Four people will be running for the two other town board seats. Incumbents Dan Smith and Rich Lange will be opposed by challengers Roxanne Lyght and Gary Pothour.

Town clerk Jim Lory will be opposed by Jenni Ginter Lyght.

The only unopposed position is town treasurer, where incumbent Dave Klar is unopposed.

Town residents will also vote on the Platteville Public Schools referendum April 7 (see story, page 1).
