UW–Platteville closed its campus this afternoon after a report of a person with a gun inside Ullsvik Hall.
Classes were canceled at 1:30 p.m. All offices are closed, including the Markee Pioneer Student Center. Employees and students were told to leave campus unless they are "essential personnel." Students who live in residence halls were told to go home.
Platteville Public Schools have been placed on exterior lockdown, meaning no one can come into PPS buildings or leave.
Platteville firefighters were called for traffic control around campus.
